New Dental Equipment Helps to Improve Oral Health of Mundgod Tibetan Community

The Doeguling Tibet Resettlement (DTR) hospital in the Mundgod Tibetan settlement has recently upgraded its dental equipment, thanks to the generous donations of Tibet Relief Fund supporters. The new equipment has helped to improve the quality and efficiency of dental services, and has led to an increase in the number of patients seeking dental care.

We are extremely grateful to Tibet Relief Fund UK for their support,” said a representative of the DTR hospital. “The new dental equipment has made a real difference to the lives of our community members.

The importance of dental services in the Mundgod Tibetan settlement is highlighted by the fact that it is the second single largest Tibetan settlement in south India, with a population of over 18,000. The settlement has 10 camps, 9 monasteries, an old people’s home, and 3 STS schools.

Due to the growing population and health related issues, there is a constant demand for dental services in the settlement,” said the DTR hospital representative. “The recent upgrade of dental equipment has helped to improve the quality and efficiency of dental services.

The impact of the new dental equipment is already being felt by the community. “After the completion of the 2 dental chairs, the daily dental OPD patients has increased, which is helping to improve the oral health of the community,” said the DTR hospital representative.

Tibet Relief Fund is a charity that provides humanitarian and development assistance to Tibetans in exile. The charity’s support for the DTR hospital is part of its wider commitment to improving the health and well-being of the Tibetan community in exile.

We are delighted to have been able to support the DTR hospital,” said a representative of Tibet Relief Fund UK. “We know that the new dental equipment will make a real difference to the lives of the people of Mundgod.
