Tibet Relief Fund is thrilled to have been able to fund a recent two day picnic for the students and staff at Ngoenga school that took place in October.
Tenzin Namphel (School Office Secretary) tells us:
“One of the most awaited days of the year was the school picnic at Fun & Food Kingdom, Dehradun. After breakfast, all the children & the staff members participated in the amusement and water park; Fun & Food Kingdom, which gave an experience of being surrounded by greenery and the beauty of nature. We departed at 8:30 a.m. with prayer and a feeling of a great day ahead. The students were extremely excited and kept singing songs on the bus till they reached the venue.“
“We were welcomed by the staff of the Resort, and students were so happy to see the place and the adventure equipment since the 2022 picnic. The park offers several high-tech rides, a boat club, a beautiful picnic area, a wave pool, a rain dance, a swimming pool for both adults and kids, and 4 different water slides with lush green lawns. It is a complete amusement and water park where the children and adults can have a fun outing for a whole day.“
“Everybody enjoyed it a lot, and most students expressed a desire to revisit the place. Indeed it was a great day for all the children and staff, as it strengthened the bond between the staff and the children.“

Ngoenga School for Tibetan Children with Special Needs at Dehradun, India is a unique and special school that provides education, support, and care to children with disabilities from Tibetan refugee settlements in India, Nepal, and Bhutan.The school was established in 1996 with the support of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama and the Tibetan Health Department of the Central Tibetan Administration.
