Kunga Choeying – 2015

Eight year old Kunga currently attends a monastic school in Pokhara and is in his third year there. Said to be a generous and fun-loving monk-in practice, he is partial to roti. He also enjoys playing football, watching cartoons and learning Tibetan. Like a lot of Tibetans residing in Nepal, Kunga’s parents are farmers and spend hours and hours toiling away on their leased land, only to make a very small living which does not cover their son’s ongoing studies.
