Tibet Relief Fund annual review: Clean drinking water for the children of Nyingtobling

Grant amount: £352

Nyingtobling in Dharamsala is a school and home for Tibetan children with special needs aged between 10 and 20. The school provides a loving, caring home environment where the children’s complex medical needs are met.

Because of the school’s remote location in the valley below Dharamsala, maintaining a clean, reliable water source can be difficult.

To combat this problem, the school have two bore wells from which they can draw clean water for the children.

The grant we sent has been used to repair some of the wells’ underground pipes which were cracked and leaking. Now the wells are back to working at full capacity, once again providing clean drinking water for the children in Nyingtobling’s care.
