You ensured the most vulnerable members of this community had food security during lockdown with two hot meals a day. The kitchen also gained a lot of local support and solidarity, with people volunteering their time and coming forward with donations and words of appreciation that these people are being helped.
We were especially heartened to learn about two young girls who have been commuting for an hour back and forth and volunteering from 9 am to 9 pm most days. The kitchen has brought together a number of young Tibetans and kept them motivated during a very difficult situation in Delhi.
The community kitchen has now paused to allow the staff and volunteers to return home for a break. Your donations will support their food security and welfare in the next stage in the autumn. Thank you. ⠀
