In 2019, Tibet Relief Fund introduced Silent Sponsorship. Silent Sponsorship differs to a sponsorship of a specific child, elder or monk. Instead, it provides essential and vital funding to a school, a monastic school in Nepal or a care home in India.
Silent Sponsorship enables schools or care homes to provide those under their care with essential resources such as clean water, furniture, electricity, food, classroom materials, healthcare and other necessities.
Unfortunately, hundreds of Tibetan children, elders and monks never get sponsored so Silent Sponsorship is a vital source of funding that ensures no Tibetan is ever left behind.
What will I receive as a Silent Sponsor?
- Our Silent Sponsorship welcome pack with information about the programme, the Tibetans we support and the culture and traditions your sponsorship will help keep alive
- Subscription to our magazine, Tibet Matters
- An annual update from the head of the school, monastic school or care home you have chosen to support thanking you for your sponsorship
