Meditate for Tibet

2022 event coming soon….

Our global meditation is now in its sixth year running, raising awareness of the situation in Tibet and supporting our work with Tibetans. Will you join us this year?

You can do any of the following to get involved…

Some highly-respected teachers of meditation have contributed to this year’s Meditate for Tibet download and CD. The meditations are loosely based around the theme of self-care and resilience and we hope they will help you through tough times.

Basic guide to meditation – Lama Rigzin
Finding gratitude in difficult times – Amanda Powell
Feeling safer now – Jessica Paton
Self-compassion – Sara Copley

Holding an event

We normally encourage group events but at the moment, we don’t know whether it will be safe for people to get together in person this summer.

If you would like to get people together to meditate, consider using video conferencing (for example Zoom or Google Meet which are both free to use), or alternatively join our online event.

Corporate support

Some wonderful companies are supporting Meditate for Tibet. If your company could hold a workplace session during the year and donate the proceeds to us, please get in touch by email or on 020 3119 0041.

Mindfulness UK hold a mindfulness session every Wednesday to support Tibet Relief Fund. Director Karen says:

“It is such a delight to provide mindfulness practices within a warm and welcoming group and to know that the proceeds go to such a wonderful cause. It really is a win-win situation.”

Midweek Meditations

During the UK lockdown period of March – June 2020 we ran weekly Midweek Meditations to help our supporters connect, focus and create calmness. Each Wednesday at 5pm our social media followers were invited to take part in a guided meditation. You can still enjoy all of these via our Youtube channel.

From sound baths to meditations for kids and families and guest teachers every other week, there is something for everyone. Thank you to all of our guest teachers and to you for your support. Stay safe.
