Following our successful travelling exhibition, Painting the Plateau, Tibetan regional dress by Anne Jennings Brown, Tibet Relief Fund is now working to produce a book about the history of Tibetan dress and we need your help to make it reality.
We are launching a crowd-funding campaign on Monday 26 February to raise money to fund the first print run of The Fabric of Tibet, regional dress from the roof of the world.
The Fabric of Tibet is a beautifully produced art book containing nearly 200 vibrantly detailed paintings of Tibetan dress and accessories throughout history. This uniquely important illustrated book will explore the rich and varied regional dress of Tibet within its social, geographic, and historical context.
The Fabric of Tibet preserves and promotes a fascinating and fast-disappearing aspect of Tibet’s cultural heritage that we want to ensure is not forgotten.
As well as funding the first print run of The Fabric of Tibet, your support will allow us to distribute copies of the book to Tibetan schools in India, Nepal, and around the world, so that Tibetans can learn more about their own cultural heritage.
As a supporter you will receive updates on the book’s progress and we are also offering a range of exclusive perks as thanks for your vital support.
These include our early bird offers: the first 100 people to choose these perks will have their names printed in the book as a thank you!
