Donate now: Will you help vulnerable Tibetans in Bakhang village finish building their homes before the monsoon hits?

This is a very special appeal for Bakhang village in Nepal. The community have agreed on the next seven families who should receive support to build their houses. And thanks to a very generous supporter and Komodo, your donation to this appeal will be DOUBLED*!

You might know of Bakhang village already. High up near the border with Tibet, in Nepal, its residents are still trying to rebuild the village seven years on from the devastating earthquakes of 2015.

Thanks to your support they now have their primary school back, fourteen houses for the most vulnerable families, and a brand-new health post. Today you have the opportunity to be part of the next stage of their recovery from the earthquakes.

Norsang has been trying to rebuild his home since it was destroyed by the earthquakes. But it’s not been easy. He is a subsistence farmer with a wife, two daughters and an elderly father to provide for. His 15 goats don’t earn him much, and all his spare money is spent sending his daughters to secondary school in Kathmandu.

It would mean the world to Norsang if he could finish his home before the monsoon hits. And if you donate today, your gift will be doubled* by two generous supporters – including ethical fashion company Komodo.

So a gift of £20 from you will be worth £40 – a massive help as we look to raise £24,000 to finish rebuilding homes for Norsang and six more vulnerable families.

The rains will arrive within a matter of weeks. So please donate today and make it possible for Norsang and six other families to finish building safe homes. Thank you.

*Your donation to this appeal will be doubled until 18 May 2022 or until we reach £8,000 in donations, whichever comes first
