Earlier this year Tibet Relief Fund sent a grant to the Central School for Tibetans in Mussoorie, following a request from the school to buy two water sanitation units. It is thanks to your support that we are able to respond to funding requests like this one. The units are due to be installed later this month and we are so thrilled for the children to have direct access to clean and safe drinking water.
Prior to the instillation of the water sanitation units, the children had no access to clean and safe water. Drinking water was held in tanks that were not only old, but sat in direct sunlight creating a breeding ground for germs. Children often suffered from diarrhoea and sickness.
Teachers at the school hope that the sanitation units will not only improve the general health of the children, but also ensure greater concentration and learning.
