An update from our project partner, Tibetan Cancer Society, on the health camps your donations have supported over the last two months.

This World Health Day (7th April) we have an update for you from our project partner, Tibetan Cancer Society on the health camps your donations have supported over the last two months. Tibetan Cancer Society visited Shugsib Nunnery, Norbulinga Khamtrul Rinpoche Monastery and Dehradun and Bir Tibetan settlements testing residents for the presence of H-Pylori bacteria in their stomachs. If left untreated this can lead to stomach cancer. Of the 1926 total patients screened, 812 were found to have the bacteria present in their stomachs.

Thanks to your support they have all been provided with the necessary medication, ensuring this doesn’t develop into serious health conditions.
